Kaka has praised countryman Neymar but stressed that he has no influence on any deal between Santos and Real Madrid.

The Brazilian midfielder is hoping to bounce back to form this season under Jose Mourinho at the Bernabeu and is well aware that having a talent like Neymar to thread balls through to would be a luxury.

Kaka rates the 19-year-old striker highly and approves of Los Blancos’ efforts to bring him to the Spanish capital.

"He’s a great player, who has major responsibilities with his club and with Brazil", said Kaka.

"He has a great future ahead of him."

And turning to the prospect of the forward arriving at the Bernabeu, Kaka commented: "The possibility of the arrival of Neymar depends on the decision of the club, it does not depend on me."

When Neymar might arrive at the Bernabeu is still not certain, with Mourinho having pleaded with the striker to make the move this summer; Neymar though would like to compete in the Club World Cup with Santos this December.
