Lille will open talks with striker Moussa Sow over a new contract when the transfer window shuts.
Sow has been the subject of considerable interest this summer after his goals shot Lille to the Ligue 1 title last term.
Recently the forward declared that he dreams of playing for either Arsenal or Real Madrid, but a switch to either does not appear on the agenda this year.
And Lille, who do not want to lose the Senegal striker, are planning to hold talks with Sow over a contract extension once the uncertainty of the market has ended.
Sow is under contract with Lille until 2013 and the Ligue 1 champions will look to increase this by at least two years.
The striker himself has not agitated for a transfer and, should the terms be favourable, is thought ready to increase his commitment to Rudi Garcia’s side.
