Liverpool have been drawn to face Inter in the last 16 of the Champions League with the first leg being scheduled to take place at the San Siro.

The Reds won all of their six group games and are favourites to beat the Serie A champions and qualify for the quarter-final of Europe’s elite club competition.

Inter are the underdogs in the tie, especially with the second leg scheduled at Anfield, but Ranieri stressed that the Serie A giants need to arrive on Merseyside with absolutely no fear.

He conceded that Inter cannot take anything for granted as Liverpool are the best team in the Premier League and the Nerazzurri cannot afford to make mistakes at Anfield.

The Watford boss told italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport: “Inter need to come at Anfield with no fear.

“Nothing can be taken for granted, they are a custom-built team.

“Liverpool are the strongest team in the Premier League, Inter will need intelligence and zero errors.”

Inter are leading the Serie A table at the moment on 40 points and finished second behind Real Madrid in their Champions League group.
