The Brazilian forward joined the Villans in 2019 from Belgian outfit Club Brugge in a deal worth £22m.

In January 2020, Wesley suffered a serious injury, which kept him out of action for more than a year and since he has been sent on loan stints away from Villa Park.

Watford are looking to replace their star duo, Isamila Sarr and Joao Pedro; both of them left have the Championship outfit this summer.

English forward Rhys Healy has joined, now they are keen on loaning in Wesley from Aston Villa and want it done this week.

The 26-year-old Brazilian spent the last campaign in the second division of the Spanish league with Levante, where he made only seven goal contributions in 43 appearances.

He has entered his final year of contract and it has been suggested that the striker is in talks with the Vicarage Road outfit.

Now it remains to be seen if Watford will get hold of Wesley in the upcoming days with his chances of getting first-team football at Villa Park looking remote.
