The 18-year-old attacking midfielder has been a regular in the starting line-up for Sunderland this season and has played in several different roles for the Black Cats side.

On Tuesday against Leeds United, Bellingham played a deeper midfield role and scored the only goal of the match to help Sunderland secure victory.

Bellingham, who has scored four times so far this season, admitted that he has a knack for finding spaces in the opposition box.

The Sunderland star believes that with his skillset, he can play in various positions and stressed that he wants to learn to play different roles to aid his development.

“I just find myself in the box sometimes; I do not know how I get there, but I have a bit of a knack for finding a space in the box and hopefully it continues for the rest of the season”, Bellingham told Sunderland’s media.

“I started a bit deeper and that is a different role really for me, but I have said before that with my skillset, I think I can play in different roles.

“I am really eager to play and learn different roles because it is something that is definitely going to benefit me going through my career.”

Bellingham has started one but all league games for Sunderland this season and Mike Dodds will be hoping that he can continue his form when they face Bristol City at the weekend.
