First-team coaches Paddy McCarthy and Ray Lewington are expected to take charge of Crystal Palace at Everton this evening, according to the South London Press.

Roy Hodgson was taken ill in training last week and was hospitalised on Thursday as speculation over his future at the club was swirling.

Oliver Glasner reportedly signed a contract to become the next Crystal Palace manager last week and an announcement was believed to be imminent.

Hodgson is expected to step down due to medical reasons and the Austrian is expected to take charge, but no announcement has been made yet.

And it has been claimed that Hodgson’s coaching staff, McCarthy and Lewington, will be in charge of the Crystal Palace team today.

Crystal Palace will be travelling to Goodison Park this evening to take on Everton in a Premier League clash.

For the moment, there is no clarity over their managerial situation as rumours continue to swirl.

McCarthy and Lewington are expected to be in the dugout in the absence of their still-manager Hodgson.

Glasner is expected to take charge of the Palace team but the timeline of his potential arrival is still uncertain.
