Burnley and Sunderland are interested in snapping up Ajax left-back Ar’jany Martha on a free transfer in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The 20-year-old left-back is a product of the Ajax academy and made 12 senior appearances last season.
However, his contract is set to expired at the end of the month and Ajax will not be offering him a new deal.
With Martha being available on a free transfer, several clubs are eyeing him and he is attracting serious interest from the Championship.
According to Dutch outlet FCUpdate, Burnley and Sunderland are looking into the 20-year-old defender this summer.
Burnley are preparing for life in the Championship after getting relegated last season and are looking to build a squad to bounce straight back up.
They have been left impressed by Martha and are considering snapping him up this summer.
Sunderland are always looking to bring in young players and the left-back’s free-agent status appeals to them.
Burnley may hope that a better chance of getting promoted will help them beat Sunderland to his signature.
Both sides are currently without a manager.
