Aston Villa have now received an official offer from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad for winger Moussa Diaby.
Unai Emery’s side saw off competition from Saudi Arabia last summer to successfully land Diaby from Bayer Leverkusen.
Now 12 months later, Saudi Arabia is back as an option for the winger and Al-Ittihad are pushing hard.
They have, according to French sports daily L’Equipe, now sent an official offer of €55m for Diaby.
Al-Ittihad will wait to see what response arrives from Aston Villa.
Aston Villa are bringing in another winger in the shape of Jaden Philogene from Hull City and could be tempted to cash in on Diaby.
The 25-year-old though was a key man in Aston Villa successfully finishing in the top four in the Premier League last season.
Moving to Al-Ittihad though would be a lucrative affair for Diaby, who came through the youth set-up at Paris Saint-Germain.
