West Ham United have identified Girona forward Artem Dovbyk as the alternative target to Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran this summer, according to ExWHUEmployee.

The Hammers are keen to bring in a striker this summer and Duran has been their top target in the ongoing transfer window.

However, negotiations with Aston Villa have not been smooth and the Hammers feel that the Villans are asking for too much money for a striker who is still unproven in the Premier League.

West Ham are still confident that Villa will lower their demands but they are looking at other strikers as well.

It has been claimed that West Ham would consider a move for Dovbyk if they fail to sign Duran this summer.

The Hammers have already made initial moves to signal their interest in the Girona striker in the ongoing transfer window.

Dovbyk was on fire in Spain last season, scoring 24 times in 36 La Liga appearances and was the top scorer in the Spanish top flight.

A few other La Liga sides are also interested in snapping up the Ukrainian forward this summer.
