Former EFL star Adrian Clarke believes that Leicester City’s fans have lost their patience too early with boss Steve Cooper and insisted that the Welshman still has a chance to win them over.

Enzo Maresca left Leicester in the summer to join Chelsea and the Foxes appointed former Nottingham Forest manager Cooper as his successor.

However, Leicester have not had the desired start to the new campaign, as they have yet to win a game in the Premier League this season.

Leicester’s difficult start to the season has created doubt among a section of the Foxes faithful about whether Cooper is the right man to lead them.

However, Clarke defended Cooper and stated that Leicester fans are judging the former Nottingham Forest manager too early.

He refused to write off the 44-year-old tactician’s chances of winning the Leicester fans over given time.

“Honestly, I think Leicester fans have gone too early on Steve Cooper”, Clarke said on What The EFL.

“I think there is every chance he can win them over in the long run.”

Leicester will travel to the Emirates Stadium at the weekend to take on Arsenal in the hope of their first win in the league.
