Liverpool could let a first team squad member who has played just 78 minutes of football depart the club on loan in the January transfer window.

Arne Slot is finding his way with the squad he has inherited from Jurgen Klopp and it is a case of so far so good for the Dutch tactician.

He has managed to guide Liverpool to the top of the Premier League table, while they are also showing promising signs in the Champions League.

Some players have had more game time than others and summer arrival Federico Chiesa has seen his minutes limited.

The winger has enjoyed just 78 minutes of action in a Liverpool shirt since he joined the club and there is already talk of a change of scenery for the Italian.

While Liverpool are not looking to sell the winger, according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.it, a January loan could be considered to hand him regular game time.

They would be looking for a loan fee and for some of his wages to be covered.

Inter Milan, Roma and AC Milan are three teams namechecked as potentially interested in such an agreement to bring Chiesa back to Serie A.
