Fraizer Campbell has left Championship side Cardiff City and is set to join Premier League outfit Crystal Palace for a fee of around £1m.

The former Manchester United player has been courted by a number of clubs this summer after his side were relegated from the top division last season.

He had a £800,000 release clause in his contract with the Bluebirds, which had been one of the primary reasons for much interest.

According to the BBC, the Eagles have finally triggered the release clause and will be paying a fee in the region of £1m with add-ons.
