Edinson Cavani insists he is perfectly happy at Paris Saint-Germain and feels he has the support of the club.

The Uruguayan striker was continually linked with the exit door over the summer, Manchester United an often mooted destination, while it was even claimed PSG tried to swap him for Luis Suarez, then at Liverpool.

But Cavani insists what happened last season, when he expressed his unhappiness at not being played in a central position, is now water under the bridge.

"This year is going to be alright", he told Uruguayan radio station AM1010.

"What I said last year? They created a situation, but I did not want it to be an attack on the coach.

"I experienced a problem and a solution was needed, nothing more.

"The president expressed his confidence in me and now it's much better", Cavani concluded.
