Hoffenheim sporting director Alexander Rosen is keen to welcome Norwegian sensation Martin Odegaard to the club and feels the Bundesliga outfit would be the perfect next step for the 15-year-old.

Odegaard is wanted by a who's who of Europe's elite clubs and has already spent time training at Liverpool, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

He is due at Ajax in mid-January, while other stops are also believed to be on his agenda.

Rosen would love nothing more than to tempt Odegaard to Germany and will use his Norwegian links (time spent playing in Norway) to that end.

"Martin Odegaard is very good", Rosen told Eurosport.

"He is a phenomenon, but I seriously believe that we could be a very nice stepping stone for Martin", he added.

And Rosen, who expanded on the job he does at Hoffenheim, believes that the club could provide the perfect environment for Odegaard.

"The job is versatile. I'm responsible for the sporting set-up in the team.

"I'm a sounding board for the coaches and I support them while planning for the long term of the club.

"We are good at taking care of players here and giving them confidence."
