West Ham captain Mark Noble admits that he always believed that if his side could pull a goal back that would invariably put Norwich City under pressure today.

The Hammers rescued a point from Carrow Road after the home side scored two goals after the break and seemed to be cruising towards a crucial three points in their relegation fight.

But Dimitri Payet had other ideas as the Frenchman pulled one goal back in the 74th minute after Victor Moses’ shot had been parried into his path. The West Ham talisman was again called into action two minutes later when he pulled one ball back for Noble, who steered in a shot to score the equaliser for the Hammers.

The Hammers captain admits that West Ham never lost heart and he always believed that if they could pull one goal back, Norwich were invariably going to get jittery towards the end. Noble added that Moses’ introduction into the proceedings changed the momentum of the game, and credited Payet for the beautifully weighted pass for his equaliser.

The West Ham midfielder told the BBC's Final Score: “To be honest at 2-0 down I was just saying make sure we get the next goal because they have had a tough time here lately, Norwich, and we knew if we got a goal then it would make it a tough ending for them.
