Juventus are set to initiate contract renewal talks with Paul Pogba next weekend, but they are not expected to stand in his way if he wants to leave the club in the summer.

The France international has been one of the most sought after young midfielders in world football over the last couple of seasons, and top clubs across Europe are expected to make a beeline for his signature should he decide to leave Juventus at the end of the season.

Speculation surrounding Pogba’s future is nothing new for Juventus, but the club are keen to hold on to him despite interest from across the Europe and according to Gazzetta dello Sport, they are set to open talks with his representatives over a new contract on Monday.

The Italian champions are aware of the status of the player and are ready to bump up his salary up to €6.5m per season, which would make him one of the highest paid players in Italy.

However, they are not keen to create any roadblocks should Pogba want to leave the club at the end of the season, and one of his suitors agrees to match their asking price for the midfielder.

Juventus are not ready to entertain any offers less than the €85m figure, and should Pogba perform well in the European Championship in the summer, the price could rise even further.

The midfielder joined Juventus on a free transfer from Manchester United in 2012, and has developed into one of the best young midfielders of his generation over the last year few years.
