European champions Real Madrid have been linked with a summer swoop for Manchester United and Juventus midfield target Andre Gomes.

The 23-year-midfielder’s future at Valencia has been under the microscope for months, as a number of top clubs across Europe are said to be vying for his signature.

Juventus are still hopeful that they can convince Valencia to sell at a more manageable transfer fee than €65m, and even Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is keeping a close watch on his compatriot.

However, another big name have entered the chase for Gomes as according to Spanish daily Marca, Real Madrid are interested in snapping up the midfielder from Valencia this summer.

Paul Pogba remains Real Madrid’s top midfield target, but the European champions are in no mood to meet financial demands made by Juventus or the Frenchman, therefore, they are considering other options.
