The agent of Liverpool and Wolves target Jean-Clair Todibo has confirmed Napoli’s interest in the teenage centre-back.

The 18-year-old centre-back made his debut for Toulouse earlier in the season and managed to become a mainstay in their backline despite his tender years.

His commanding performances in Ligue 1 have been noticed by some of the top clubs in Europe, including Inter and Juventus, and he has also attracted interest from Liverpool and Wolves.

Napoli have reportedly gained an edge in the chase to sign Todibo, whose contract deal with Toulouse expires next summer, because of their relationship with his agent Bruno Satin, and have already offered him a contract.

Satin has now confirmed that Napoli are indeed interested in his young client, but remained coy on whether the defender is close to moving to the Stadio San Paolo.

He told local Naples radio station Radio Kiss Kiss: “The interest is there and it has been confirmed by Napoli as well.

“But I prefer not to say anything else.”

The defender has been assessing his all options, including a new contract offer from Toulouse, and is expected to take a decision at the end of the year.
