Nantes striker Emiliano Sala is not interested in moving to Cardiff City despite interest from the Premier League club.

Cardiff boss Neil Warnock recently revealed that the club have had a bid rejected by Nantes for Sala and the Bluebirds are yet to return with another offer.

The Welsh club are in the market for a striker and Sala emerged as a target for the club, but it seems a deal is not going to happen in January.

It has been claimed that Nantes discreetly opened talks with Cardiff for Sala and were hopeful of banking a fee of around €25m from his departure.

But according to French sports daily L’Equipe, the prospect of a deal going through was always difficult as the player showed little inclination towards a transfer.

And Sala has shown no interest in moving to England with Cardiff during the winter transfer window.
