The 26-year-old centre-back has been recovering from a hamstring problem and missed PSG’s 4-0 win over Nimes on Friday night.

The defender’s rehabilitation has gone according to plan and he has been recovering steadily, but there are still doubts over whether he will be fit enough for the Champions League clash against Manchester United.

The PSG captain is racing against time to get himself back to full-fitness, but PSG are unsure whether they will have him in the squad on Tuesday night.

According to French sports daily L’Equipe, the French champions are still hopeful that he will recover in time to take the pitch against Manchester United.

But they are unclear whether the hamstring injury has healed properly and they are unlikely to take a chance with their captain’s fitness.

Neymar was rested against Nimes and will be in the team when Manchester United arrive at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday night.

Thomas Tuchel has ruled out Leandro Paredes from featuring against the Red Devils after the midfielder hobbled off after just eleven minutes against Nimes.
