Tanganga is a player Tottenham are looking to move on before the transfer window slams shut on 1st September.

The defender rejected a move to Bournemouth earlier in the summer in the hope of completing a move to Serie A champions AC Milan.

However, the Rossoneri have kept him on standby as they continue to wait and watch in their attempts to bring in a defender.

And according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.com, Roma have now made probes into the possibility of taking Tanganga to the eternal city.

Jose Mourinho appreciated the young defender when he was at Tottenham and he got a crack at the first-team under the Portuguese.

The Roma boss wants to bring in a centre-back, but their top target is Manchester United’s Eric Bially.

Roma see Tanganga as a plan B option in the event they cannot land Bailly.

AC Milan are still keen but they want to sign him on a simple loan without an obligation to buy.

Roma are also likely to be more interested in a loan deal rather than a permanent transfer this summer.
