The Toffees are on the lookout for a new striker as first choice Dominic Calvert-Lewin has continued to be sidelined with injury issues.

Everton have identified a number of potential striker targets and are even working on getting deals done in an official capacity.

Southampton man Adams is one of the players on Everton’s wish list but the Saints are reluctant to let him go this summer.

And with there only being just over a week left in the transfer window, the south coast side have had no change of heart when it comes of Adams’ future.

Southampton still want to keep Adams in their ranks and the player’s recent form has only further strengthened their resolve.

Adams registered a brace in Southampton’s 2-1 win over Leicester City at the weekend and the club want him to keep providing the fireworks up front for them this season amidst interest from Everton.

Watford man Joao Pedro and Blackburn Rover’s Ben Brereton Diaz are some of the strikers currently on Everton’s radar.
