The 24-year-old winger featured 34 times in the league for Maritimo last season but failed to stop the Portuguese outfit from getting relegated.

Following Maritimo’s relegation, Vidigal is expected to leave the club and Championship outfit Stoke City are interested in him.

However, Maritimo are not too keen on parting with the player and they are in negotiations with the Potters.

It is said that the winger is not interested in playing in the Portuguese second division and is in favour of a move this summer.

Stoke submitted a €450,000 bid for Vidigal, but the Portuguese outfit want a fee in the region of €500,000 for the winger.

It has been claimed that Alex Neil’s side have made progress in the discussions regarding a deal for Vidgal with Maritimo.

And the 24-year-old is currently preparing to board a flight to England to close the deal.

Vidigal has made a total of 73 appearances for Maritimo, scoring nine goals and assisting three times.
