Zaha snubbed a new contract offer from Crystal Palace in the summer to move to Galatasaray on a free transfer.
The winger featured more than 450 times for the Eagles and was their best player for several years before he decided to move on from the south London club in the summer.
However, he has featured just twice for his new team and has struggled for fitness in Turkey.
Ince claimed that the winger struggled with several muscle injuries last season but played through the pain for Palace because of his importance to the team.
He insisted that Zaha pushed himself and that the sacrifices he made for Crystal Palace have had an impact.
The Galatasaray club doctor revealed that he is now on a special training regime with his medical team and once he passes the fitness tests, he will join the squad.
Ince was quoted as saying by Turkish outlet Fotomac: “Zaha had very long and recurring muscle injuries last season.
“He was played this way because he was a very important player for Crystal Palace. He was very enthusiastic and pushed himself.
“He wasn’t fit for any long-term benefits and it often hurt his back. He struggled with injuries.
“Zaha has nothing too serious but the sacrifices he made for his previous team have worn out the player.
“A special program is being implemented to prevent him from getting injured.
“He will start working with the team before the Samsunspor match.
“He is in good shape and will work with the team next week.
“If he reaches the desired levels in the tests, he will go to training with the squad on Friday at least.”
It remains to be seen whether Crystal Palace respond to suggestions that they played Zaha despite him struggling with muscle injuries.
