Their academy director Gavin Levey is set to leave the Dons for English Championship side Swansea City.
Levey will be taking the role of head of youth at the Championship club and he will be replacing Andy Goldie, who is now at Southampton.
The Scot has been in charge of the academy director role for the Dons from 2013 and now he is set to head towards Wales.
And the Scottish outfit are now set to interview internal and external candidates to appoint a new academy director.
Levey has gained a good reputation over the years and he has seen some talented players coming through the Dons’ academy.
Now Aberdeen will focus on getting the right man to replace him as they look to make sure their youth set-up can be one of Scotland’s best.
All eyes will be on who the ambitions Pittodrie outfit look to in order to replace Swansea bound Levey.
