Dutch giants Ajax have only received loan approaches for Crystal Palace target Chuba Akpom ahead of Thursday’s transfer deadline.

Akpom joined Ajax from Middlesbrough last summer but he has struggled to be a regular starter in the Netherlands.

The striker is keen to leave Ajax before the transfer window closes on Thursday night as he wants to be the main man somewhere else.

Crystal Palace are amongst the clubs who are interested in signing the former Arsenal striker and Ajax are prepared to sell him.

However, according to Dutch daily De Telegraaf, Ajax have only received loan offers for Akpom thus far.

A loan exit does not appeal to Ajax as they are only interested in selling the forward in the ongoing window.

The Dutch giants want somewhere around €15m to €20m before agreeing to let the player leave before Thursday’s deadline.

Ajax also want the funds from a sale as they are keen to bring in an experienced replacement for Akpom.

It remains to be seen whether any of his suitors make an offer to sign him on a permanent deal in the coming hours.
