New Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner is taking his first training session this morning ahead of facing Burnley on Saturday, according to the BBC.

Roy Hodgson stepped down as Crystal Palace manager this week due to medical reasons as he was hospitalised last week.

The Eagles already had a succession plan in place and Glasner’s appointment was swiftly confirmed, with the Austrian their new manager.

The Austrian watched from the stands as Crystal Palace drew 1-1 against Everton at Goodison Park on Monday.

The 49-year-old checked into Crystal Palace’s training base today and is currently conducting his first session as manager of the club.

Glasner has three days to prepare his team for a crucial game against relegation-threatened Burnley at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

The new Crystal Palace boss will hope to make a good impression on the home crowd in his first game in charge of the club.

The Austrian led Wolfsburg to the Champions League and won the Europa League for Eintracht Frankfurt during his time in Germany.
