Lazio are set to hold fresh talks with Manchester United in their pursuit of attacker Mason Greenwood in the next 48 hours.

Manchester United are ready to sell Greenwood but are sticking to their minimum €35m asking price for the player.

Several clubs across Europe have shown an interest in getting their hands on the forward, who had a fruitful loan spell at Getafe last season.

Lazio have been pushing hard to sign him but their offer of €20m plus a 50 per cent sell-on clause offer was rejected by Manchester United last month.

According to Italian sports daily Corriere dello Sport, a fresh round of talks is expected to take place between the two clubs in the next 48 hours.

Greenwood is the big summer target for Lazio president Claudio Lotito and he does not want to give up on him easily.

The Serie A giants will make a renewed effort to try and get a deal done with Manchester United in the ongoing window.

Marseille and Juventus are also chasing Greenwood and have been in contact with Manchester United as well.
