Oxford United have now put in a bid for Lincoln City target Jordan Gabriel, as they seek to sign him from Blackpool, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

Gabriel featured on a regular basis for Blackpool towards the end of the campaign, but he could be on the move this summer.

The full-back is attracting attention and League One promotion hopefuls Lincoln, who are keen to snap him up.

Michael Skubala’s men lost Lasse Sorensen to Huddersfield Town earlier this summer and view Gabriel as a replacement.

They are facing fierce competition from Championship new boys Oxford United though as the U’s also want Gabriel.

And Oxford United have now taken their interest to the next level by putting in a bid for Gabriel.

It is unclear what the level of the offer is or whether it will be good enough for Blackpool to accept.

Gabriel, 25, has another year left on his contract at Blackpool.

The defender has made over 100 appearances over the course of the time he has been on the books at Blackpool.
