In-demand Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin has rejected an approach from Turkish Super Lig side Besiktas, according to Spanish daily AS.

Sahin is edging towards the exit door at the Bernabeu and, with a whole host of clubs are eyeing his signature, is not short of options for where to play his football in the new season.

Arsenal and Galatasaray have led the race for the former Borussia Dortmund schemer – both want Sahin on loan – while Manchester United have also been linked – but with taking the 23-year-old on a permanent deal.

Los Blancos manager Jose Mourinho has admitted that he cannot offer Sahin first team football next season and insisted he is prepared to facilitate the player’s exit.

Now the ball seems firmly in Sahin’s court as to not just where he wants to end up, but also if he prefers to leave Real Madrid permanently or on loan.

One side Sahin will not be joining though are Besiktas, after he turned down the opportunity to land with the Black Eagles.

Sahin clocked up just 128 minutes of playing time in La Liga last season and with Real Madrid expected to eventually push through the signing of Croatian playmaker Luka Modric from Tottenham Hotspur at some point this summer, there seems even less room for the Turkey international.
