Lazio have yet to receive an offer from Manchester United for attacking midfielder Felipe Anderson, with the English club weighing up their options.

It had been expected in Italy that the Red Devils would lodge a €50m bid for the 22-year-old Brazilian, who has further enhanced his standing in world football this season with the Serie A side.

But according to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, no offer has yet arrived, with Manchester United continuing to weigh up their options.

Louis van Gaal's men are believed to be closing on the signature of Benfica midfielder Nicolas Gaitan, who at five years older than Anderson is thought to be €20m cheaper.

Lazio are keen not to lose Anderson, but remain aware that if Manchester United submit a substantial bid, they may have no choice but to release the Brazil Under-21 star.
