Leeds United starlet Charlie Taylor has revealed he is not likely to be back in full training next week, but instead the week after.

The left-back has been struck down by a virus which has kept him out of action for several weeks, something which has been a big blow for the Whites.

Taylor watched on last night as Leeds beat Wycombe Wanderers 2-0 in a friendly fixture, but had bad news in that he says the club's physios do not want him to return to full training next week.

Head coach Steve Evans had targeted Taylor returning to full training next week, ahead of the Rotherham United game next Saturday.

"I think looking more maybe being with the physio department [next week] and building up my fitness a bit more", Taylor said on LUTV.

"So I think a couple of weeks and then I'll be back in full training.

"Then I'll be trying to impress the manager", he added.

Taylor may have to wait to force his way back into the starting eleven when he returns, if the Whites can maintain their good run of form.

Evans' side have won their last two successive Championship games, beating Cardiff City and Huddersfield Town, while they continued the winning feeling last night by beating Wycombe at Adams Park in front of 787 Leeds fans.
