The 17-year old was previously on trial at the Eredivisie club and was pleased with the experience, giving Feyenoord the edge.

Dermane is now putting the finishing touches to his switch to the Netherlands and, according to Feyenoord Transfermarkt, Feyenoord have beaten off Chelsea and Manchester City to land him.

He also had interest from Austrian giants Red Bull Salzburg, who have gained a good reputation for developing talents in recent years.

Dermane is currently in Rotterdam and undergoing his medical checks, which he will hope to come through without an issue.

He will then put pen to paper to a contract with Feyenoord and look to hit the ground running with the Dutch giants as he continues his development.

It remains to be seen how the player develops in Feyenoord’s academy and whether the Citizens and the Blues have missed out on a major talent.
