Gibbs-White is a player Frank Lampard admires and Everton closely studied his progress in the Championship where he was on loan at Sheffield United.

He is one of the top targets for Everton and the club are looking to be able to win the chase for his signature.

There are claims that Wolves have already rejected a bid worth £25m from Everton for the 22-year-old in the ongoing transfer window.

But it has been suggested that Everton are yet to put a formal offer on Wolves’ table for the player.

They do want to snap up Gibbs-White, but have not formalised their interest through a bid.

However, the Toffees are expected to table a bid for the attacking midfielder in the coming weeks as negotiations progress.

Wolves are yet to take a call on whether they want to sell the player given Bruno Lage is not against keeping him.

However, with two years left on his contract, Wolves could see this summer as the best opportunity to realise the maximum price by selling him.
