The 21-year-old centre-forward joined Burton Albion last season from Norwich City and scored three goals in 14 outings for the club.

This season the Moroccan made eight appearances for Burton and netted five while setting up two goals.

Ipswich have signed the centre-forward on a three-year deal from Burton for an undisclosed fee in the ongoing transfer window.

McKenna is of the view that Ahadme is at an age where his desire for goals is at a high point and stressed that the player will add a different element in Ipswich’s final third.

“We feel like Gassan is a really good fit for us”, McKenna told Ipswich Town’s official site.

“He is at an age where he is hungry and he has had a strong start to the season.

“Gassan adds another element to our attack, particularly with his height, and can come straight into the fold.”

Ipswich will take on Accrington Stanley on Saturday and Ahadme will hoping carry on his goalscoring form in League One for McKenna’s side.
