Hurst joined the Wessex League Premier leaders on a month’s loan and has already scored four goals for his new side.

The young forward is rated highly at Fratton Park and also registered four goals for Pompey Under-18s before sealing the loan move.

Baffins are set to encounter Bournemouth Poppies in a Hampshire Senior Cup second-round tie on Tuesday night.

And Portsmouth are not willing to allow Hurst to take part in the match as they do not want him to become cup tied.

Baffins will have to make do without the Pompey talent as they play the cup clash.

Portsmouth are happy with the loan for the youngster though and could yet agree to extend it further.

It remains to be seen if Hurst will be handed an opportunity for the senior side this term, with EFL Trophy matches one potential avenue for game time.
