Tottenham Hotspur have cooled their interest in Torino defender Alessandro Buongiorno ahead of the summer, it has been claimed in Italy.

The 24-year-old centre-back has been heavily linked with a move away from Torino ahead of the next transfer window.

He has several suitors in Italy where AC Milan and Napoli are said to be chasing the centre-back’s signature in the coming months.

Tottenham have also been tracking him and the club have held initial talks about a possible deal.

However, according to Italian outlet, the north London club have changed their plans in the market.

It has been claimed that Spurs have cooled their interest in signing the Italian centre-back this summer.

Tottenham have other priorities in the market and for the moment, Buongiorno is not a player they are considering.

The defender is also reportedly keen on staying in Italy and would prefer to join one of the big wigs of Serie A in the next window.

It remains to be seen if the situation changes in the coming weeks.
