Bristol Rovers may struggle to match the personal terms that will be on offer elsewhere to target Jonson Clarke-Harris, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

Clarke-Harris is expected to move on from Peterborough United when the transfer window opens, despite starting for Posh in their 2-2 draw with Barnsley on Friday.

The hitman netted both his side’s goals in the League One game and is firmly in demand, with Bristol Rovers keen on capturing his services.

However, both Wrexham and Charlton Athletic are now firmly in the hunt for the striker, with the Welsh side hoping to offer him the best terms.

And it is suggested that Bristol Rovers could find themselves not offering the best personal terms to Clarke-Harris.

Whether Clarke-Harris prioritises other factors ahead of the level of cash on offer remains to be seen.

Wrexham are chasing a second successive promotion and currently sit in third spot in the League Two standings.

The Welsh side have not matched the division’s top scorers, with 48 netted, while Stockport County have struck 53 times, as have Notts County.

A move to the Gas or Charlton however would keep Clarke-Harris in League One.
