Blackburn Rovers have discussed a permanent swoop for Leeds United defender Charlie Cresswell, according to journalist Alan Nixon.
Cresswell is being seen as likely to move on from Elland Road in the winter transfer window as he looks for game time.
A host of sides are keen on Cresswell, with a loan move viewed as the most probable form of Elland Road exit.
Blackburn are amongst the sides looking at Cresswell, but while the Ewood outfit have discussed a loan move, they have also discussed buying the defender from Leeds.
Cresswell is down the pecking order at Leeds, with boss Daniel Farke preferring other defensive options.
Selling the defender may be something which appeals to Leeds given Cresswell is unlikely to break into Farke’s plans.
He played regular football last term on loan at Millwall last term and impressed in the Championship.
Ipswich Town and Middlesbrough are both also interested in Cresswell, but how Leeds would look at a move to their promotion rivals at Portman Road is unclear.
