Leeds United could accept under £4m for Charlie Cresswell as long as add-ons are included in the deal, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

The Yorkshire giants are prepared to sell the centre-back this month, with Daniel Farke regularly preferring other options in the heart of defence.

Cresswell has interest, with Millwall and Blackburn Rovers currently being the keenest to snap him up and prepared to lodge substantial cash offers.

Leeds’ position is that they want £4m if they are to sell Cresswell, who impressed on loan at Millwall last term, during this month’s window.

However, Leeds could change their stance depending upon the circumstances.

The Elland Road outfit may accept a proposal of under £4m if it includes add-ons.

That would give Leeds a realistic prospect of earning closer to their asking price for Cresswell if he can kick on with his development and help his new club over the coming years.

Cresswell is keen to make sure he is playing regular football during the second half of the season and a move away from Leeds appears the only way to achieve that.
