Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has joked that Norwich City manager David Wagner asked him to rotate his squad for the FA Cup clash at the weekend.

The Reds are in impressive form in the ongoing season and they are unbeaten in nine games in all competitions.

On Sunday, Liverpool will lock horns with Wagner’s Norwich at Anfield in an FA Cup fourth-round encounter.

During his time at Huddersfield Town, Wagner went head-to-head with the Liverpool boss in the Premier League and Klopp admitted he enjoyed the encounters with the Norwich manager.

Klopp also revealed that Wagner has asked him to rotate his team for the Norwich game and hailed the Canaries job as a tough one, which he believes his fellow German tactician is doing really well.

When asked whether he enjoys the encounters with Wagner, Klopp said at a press conference: “Yes, I enjoy it a lot and we have already had conversations about it.

“He asked me for a massive rotation.

“I told him that does not help, obviously.

“[He is doing] a really good job, but a really difficult job.

“I think the start of their season was really good, but they lost more or less their offensive department, that is when they struggled a bit.

“Now they are within touching distance of the playoffs.”

Norwich have not won against Liverpool since 1994 and Wagner has a tough job on his hands to change the record on Sunday.
