Trabzonspor coach Abdullah Avci has revealed that Southampton loanee Paul Onuachu will not be able to be fit for the big game against Fenerbahce.

Southampton sent Onuachu on a season-long loan to Trabzonspor in the summer and the Saints forward has been impressive this season for the Turkish outfit.

Recently, the forward suffered a fracture in his forearm during Trabzonspor’s game against Basaksehir and is expected to return in April.

However, it was suggested that Onuachu is desperate to get back fit before their big clash against Fenerbahce next weekend and was working towards that goal.

But Trabzonspor boss Avci revealed that the Southampton star will not be fit to take part in their clash against Fenerbahce.

He also stated that Onuachu is expected to return to action during the first week of April.

“Paul Onuachu is out for the Fenerbahce game”, Avci was quoted as saying by Turkish daily Sabah.

“He will return on April 3rd or 4th.”

Trabzonspor have been hugely impressed with Onuachu and would like to keep him on a permanent basis, but that will depend on Southampton’s stance this summer.
