Sporting Lisbon are keen on taking striker Jeffren from Barcelona.

Jeffren has been linked with an exit from the Camp Nou for most of the summer after concerns over how much first team football the 23-year-old will receive next season.

This in turn led to a whole host of clubs investigating the possibility of signing the striker including Liverpool and Bolton Wanderers.

And now, according to Portuguese daily A Bola, Sporting Lisbon are preparing to send an offer of €8M to the Catalan capital for Jeffren.

The Venezuela-born forward wants to clock up more minutes on the pitch next season, but has been reluctant to leave Barcelona, the club he joined as a youngster from Tenerife in 2004.

It remains to be seen whether Sporting can convince Jeffren to head to Portugal.
