Brazilian playmaker Alex could move to Spartak Moscow from Fenerbahce.

The 33-year-old schemer is interesting the Russian side and, after a spell of seven years in Istanbul may well be ready for a new challenge.

Alex currently captains Fenerbahce, but the club have been at the centre of a match fixing storm in Turkish football, leading to speculation that several key players could call it quits.

Indeed, if Fenerbahce are relegated through the scandal, Alex could depart the Turkish champions for free.

And Spartak Moscow would be very interested in taking the Brazilian to Russia.

Alex moved to Fenerbahce in 2004, making the move from Brazilian side Cruzeiro.
