Veteran Brazilian defender Lucio has declared himself happy with his new deal at Inter.
Discussions between Lucio and the Italian giants dragged on, with the former Bayern Munich defender linked with the exit door this summer if no agreement was found.
But Inter changed their stance, offering Lucio the deal he had been searching for and ensuring the centre back remained at the San Siro.
And Lucio is delighted that Inter did, stating himself delighted with his new deal and determined to repay the club’s faith.
"I am happy with the new contract and for the confidence shown in me by the club", said Lucio.
"I am looking forward to the start of the new season and I will do my best."
