Veteran striker Frederic Kanoute has become the latest big name to head to China to play his football.
The 34-year-old has inked a two-year contract with Beijing Guoan after leaving Spanish outfit Sevilla.
Kanoute had offers from elsewhere, with clubs from the Middle East and the United States keen to snap him up.
But it is China, where Didier Drogba, Nicolas Anelka and Yakubu now ply their trade, that Kanoute has opted to play.
The striker joined Sevilla in 2005 from English side Tottenham Hotspur. He has also had spells with West Ham and Lyon.
At international level, Kanoute won 39 caps for Mali between 2004 and 2010.
