FK Haugesund midfielder-cum-defender Umaru Bangura has revealed his disappointment that his club chose to reject an offer for his services from Premier League side Crystal Palace.

It is thought that the newly-promoted Premier League club have tabled a bid of €2.5m, but Haugesund rejected it because it did not meet their €5m valuation of the player.

"I am very disappointed. It’s a dream for me to play in England", Bangura told the Haugesund Avis.

"I know I am ready for new challenges and the Premier League would be a great opportunity for me", the 25-year-old added.

"I think all footballers want to one day play in the Premier League – its one of the biggest leagues in the world", Bangura further explained.

Bangura has already made a total 16 appearances so far with Haugesund in the current 2013 season, which began on 15th March.
