Leeds United target Urby Emanuelson admits that he could well be playing his football outside Italy next season.

The Dutch winger, who has been identified as a potential summer signing for Leeds by Italian owner Massimo Cellino, is currently plying his trade with Atalanta in Serie A.




Emanuelson landed in Bergamo from Roma in the winter window, but has struggled to carve out a regular first team spot and is expected to be on the move once again when the transfer window swings back open in the summer.

 


However, he is nevertheless enjoying his spell at Atalanta and told the Corriere di Bergamo: "Here I feel good. But I'm not thinking about [my future] even though so far my experience in Bergamo did not go as I initially hoped."

When it comes to where he might play next term though, Emanuelson will look at the offers on his table and leaving Italy is possible for the Dutchman.

"Do I want to stay in Italy? It depends on the offers.

"I'd also like to play in La Liga or the Premier League."

One move the 28-year-old will not yet be considering however is a return to former club Ajax, feeling he still has enough time in his career to fit in a spell back in the Netherlands, just not yet.

"Returning to Ajax? It's my city and I can go back whenever I want.

"Now though I want to continue my experiences."

So far this season the winger has made just nine appearances in Serie A, contributing a single assist. He will surely be keen to secure regular first team football next term.
