Leeds United boss Steve Evans is confident of attracting the right players to Elland Road without paying over the odds in terms of wages.
After an underwhelming winter window, the club are keen to sign players during the emergency loan window, but the recruitment team’s point of focus is expected to be on the summer, when they are looking to conduct the bulk of their transfer business.
Evans is convinced that if he is allowed to sign the right players he will turn Leeds into promotion contenders next season and he admits that he is ready to look for players anywhere, at any level.
He admits that Leeds won’t pay over-the-top wages, and doesn’t think it is necessary to do so to achieve promotion to the Premier League as he feels that with the right package on offer, quality players will opt to join the Whites.
When asked whether he is ready to sign players from anywhere, the Leeds boss told LUTV: “You are absolutely right.

"I didn’t see too many clubs pay such wages last season and get promoted; I didn’t see Bournemouth or Watford do that. Maybe Norwich did, but the other two didn’t.
“We can bring some top quality footballers. Leeds United are the biggest part of why you would want to play here. Supporters, Elland Road, the history, the tradition and there needs to be a package behind it.
“If we get the total package right we can bring in some good players here.”
