The Canaries, who lost 3-0 to Liverpool in their Premier League opener, suffered a 5-0 beating at the hands of champions Manchester City at the weekend.

Pep Guardiola’s side found the back of the net with each shot on target on the evening, while the Carrow Road outfit failed to register a single shot on target.

Former Sky Sports anchor Keys has insisted that it was the perfect match for Manchester City to bounce back from their defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, suggesting that Norwich were there for the taking.

Keys feels Norwich boss Farke is reluctant to make changes according to the opposition and is of the view that his naivety will lead the Canaries to relegation this season.

It was the perfect weekend for City“, Keys wrote in his blog.

Coming off the back of the defeat at Spurs they couldn’t have chosen better opposition.

They needed a team to turn up – open up – and not resist.

Norwich were fodder. Why didn’t Farke do something about that?

Why do exactly what Guardiola wanted? No wonder the City boss ‘enjoys’ the way Norwich play.

What naivety. No. What stupidity Farke. That’s why they’ll go back down.

Having suffered heavy defeats in their first two games of the season, Norwich currently sit bottom of the table and it remains to be seen if they can avoid relegation this time around.
